Tile Setter

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Tile Setter to join MAC Tiling in Mountain House. The role involves preparing surfaces, installing various types of tiles, and ensuring high‑quality finishes on residential and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered.
• Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowels.
• Set tiles in place, apply pressure to affix them, and align and straighten tiles.
• Cut and fit tiles around obstacles using hand and power cutting tools.
• Pack grout into joints, remove excess grout and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
• Lay and set mosaic tiles for decorative wall, mural and floor designs.
• Build underbeds, install anchor bolts, wires and brackets.
• Cut, surface, polish and install marble, granite and terra surfaces.

Required profile

• Physically demanding work: heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling.
• Attention to detail, ability to distinguish colours, and reliability.
• Valid driver’s licence, own transportation and tools.
• Team player with a client‑focused attitude.
