Floor Covering Installer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join MAC Tiling in Mountain House, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing a variety of floor coverings in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring high‑quality workmanship and client satisfaction. This full‑time permanent position involves travel to multiple job sites and requires a valid driver’s licence and personal transportation.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered.
• Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding.
• Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors.
• Prepare and install hardwood floors.
• Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.
• Prepare floors for installations, including removal of existing coverings and contaminants.
• Transport tools and equipment to various locations and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain personal tools, safety gear and adhere to client‑focused standards.

• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Physically capable of handling heavy loads, bending, crouching and kneeling.
• Valid driver’s licence with own vehicle and willingness to travel.
