Ticketing & Guest Services Attendant – Summer Fair

About the role

The Ticketing & Guest Services Attendant ensures a welcoming and efficient experience for thousands of visitors attending Westerner Days, a five‑day summer fair in Central Alberta. Working on the front line, you will support admissions, ticket scanning, ride‑all‑day (RAD) redemption, and provide information to guests throughout the event.

Key responsibilities

• Process admissions and scan tickets using handheld devices.
• Redeem RAD passes and manage ride‑access transactions.
• Staff information booths, answer guest inquiries, and assist with wayfinding.
• Maintain smooth operations by coordinating with the tickets manager and other event staff.
• Adapt to shifting assignments and operational needs during the five‑day event.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous customer‑service, admissions, or event‑staff experience is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work collaboratively.
• Comfortable standing, walking, and working outdoors in varying weather.
• Available for all shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and extended hours from July 15‑19, 2026.

Required skills

• Experience using ticketing systems.
