Test Methods Engineer

About the role

Michelin is seeking a Test Methods Engineer to join its Validation Center team. You will collaborate with Performance Group and product development teams to design, implement, and maintain innovative test methodologies that ensure product reliability and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new testing and analysis methods for exploratory projects.
• Oversee implementation of product performance evaluation strategies.
• Analyze fundamental physical principles to define robust validation methods.
• Manage a portfolio of test methods, including maintenance, creation, adaptation, and retirement.
• Participate in tool‑ and method‑related project feasibility studies.
• Anticipate future testing needs and propose new evaluation approaches.
• Mentor colleagues and create training modules to share domain expertise.
• Implement test methods according to relevant norms and standards.
• Lead execution of complex tests and perform in‑depth data analysis.
• Review validation plans for simulators and vehicles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• Minimum 7 years of engineering experience.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of performance physics.
• Expertise in designing and validating test methods.
• Advanced data analysis capabilities.
• Familiarity with industry norms and standards for product testing.
