Temporary Part-Time Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer)

About the role

We are seeking a temporary part‑time Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) to work across Louise Marshall Hospital and Palmerston and District Hospital within the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The role supports a variety of imaging services on a cross‑site schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform small‑parts, general, abdominal, obstetrical, vascular and musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations.
• Document findings accurately and communicate results to the clinical team.
• Maintain equipment, ensure infection control standards, and adhere to departmental schedules.
• Provide coverage for all shifts as required and assist with additional duties in the imaging department.

Required profile

• Graduate of a Canadian accredited ultrasound training program.
• Current CMRTO membership with professional liability insurance.
• Experience in small‑parts, general, abdominal and obstetrical ultrasound; NT certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize competing demands, and meet physical requirements of the role.
• Successful reference checks, police vulnerable sector check and pre‑employment health assessment.
