Temporary Grade 7-9 Humanities & Religion Teacher (Full-Time)

About the role

St.Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools is seeking a temporary full‑time teacher to deliver Humanities, Religious Education and Options courses to Grade 7‑9 students at École Mother d’Youville in Beaumont, Alberta. The appointment runs from 26 August 2026 to 22 December 2026 and supports the school’s dual‑track English and French Immersion programme.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess curriculum in Humanities, Religion and Options for grades 7‑9.
• Integrate Catholic values and faith‑based perspectives into daily instruction.
• Participate in co‑curricular and extra‑curricular activities, including coaching or volunteering where possible.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records, grades and required documentation, including criminal record and vulnerable sector checks.

Required profile

• Valid teaching certification for Alberta secondary education.
• Demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and ability to model faith‑based practices.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Coaching, volunteering or extracurricular leadership experience is an asset.
• Certificate in Catholic Education from St. Joseph’s College is advantageous.
