Technical Services Manager

About the role

The Technical Services Manager reports to the General Manager and leads the mining and environmental technical services groups, including mine engineering, geology, and environment. This senior position ensures that departmental goals align with Agnico Eagle’s values, health and safety standards, and environmental commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee mining and environmental technical services departments to ensure execution aligns with the Mine Plan and budget.
• Maintain communication routines with department Superintendents and the General Manager.
• Coordinate with corporate technical advisors and directors.
• Participate in Collaboration Committee meetings and support initiatives through steering committees.
• Assist the General Manager in preparing division reports and presentations.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for mine life, closure, exploration, capital expenditures, and construction projects.
• Support SOX compliance, technology adoption, continuous improvement, and cost‑structure optimization.
• Mentor and develop direct reports.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and direct mining and environmental technical services groups.
• Experience communicating with senior leadership and corporate advisors.
• Track record of strategic planning and execution in a mining environment.
