Tech Design Teacher (Grades 9-12) – Semester 1 LTO

About the role

The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking a qualified teacher to deliver Technology Design instruction to grades 9‑12 for Semester 1 on a Long‑Term Occasional (LTO) basis. This position involves three teaching periods and contributes to the board’s commitment to inclusive, equitable education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess Technology Design curriculum for secondary students.
• Manage classroom environment and maintain student progress records.
• Report pupil progress to the principal and collaborate with other teachers as required.
• Fulfill supervisory duties and follow the instructional program assigned by the principal.
• Participate in board‑mandated training and equity initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified to teach Technology Design to grades 9‑12 in Ontario.
• Willingness to provide two professional references, including current or most recent supervisor.
• Ability to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check prior to employment.
• Commitment to the principles of dignity, inclusion, and accommodation as outlined by the Ontario Human Rights Code and AODA.
• Prepared to answer four written interview questions as part of the application process.
