Teaching Assistant – Microeconomics for Public Policy

About the role

The Max Bell School of Public Policy at McGill University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for a six‑week intensive microeconomics course (PPOL 602) in the Master of Public Policy program. The TA will support students throughout the November 2 – December 11, 2026 term.

Key responsibilities

  • Hold weekly office hours to assist students with course concepts.
  • Provide limited guidance to groups working on assignments.
  • Help individual students resolve specific difficulties with the material.
  • Collaborate with the course instructor to ensure smooth delivery of the intensive curriculum.

Required profile

  • Master’s degree in economics (minimum requirement).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of microeconomics and its application to public policy.
  • Clear communication skills and prior teaching or tutoring experience.
