About the role
The Tax Manager will lead the preparation and reporting of the Group’s U.S. income tax provision, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations. This senior position works closely with finance, accounting and external advisors to optimize tax strategies and support business decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of the U.S. income tax provision for financial reporting.
- Calculate and review the effective U.S. income tax rate.
- Coordinate estimated and final tax payments at federal, state and local levels.
- Prepare and track data for U.S. income tax returns.
- Develop quarterly transfer‑pricing adjustment recommendations.
- Assist accountants with indirect tax processes as needed.
- Manage correspondence with tax authorities and reconcile tax accounts.
- Co‑lead income‑tax audit activities, including information gathering and response preparation.
- Identify tax withholding and liability issues during operational planning and propose mitigation scenarios.
- Research and communicate U.S. tax trends and developments relevant to the business.
- Oversee accumulated earnings and provide dividend recommendations.
- Collaborate with the CFO on North‑American tax planning and special projects.
- Manage external service providers for all U.S. tax matters.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Business or Finance.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA).
- 5‑7 years of progressive U.S. income tax experience in a public accounting firm or mid‑level industry role.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and IFRS, including preparation of financial‑statement tax notes.
- Experience advising on complex corporate income tax issues.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, confidentiality and professional communication skills.
Required skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros).
- Proficiency with U.S. tax research tools.
- Experience using tax preparation software.
