System Administrator – Virtual Environments

About the role

We are looking for a System Administrator to manage and maintain our virtual infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring platform stability, performance, and security while supporting day‑to‑day operations across Windows environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and administer virtual environments, guaranteeing availability and performance.
• Manage vulnerability lifecycle: prioritization, remediation, and monitoring.
• Handle incidents (P3‑P4) from diagnosis through resolution and coordinate with relevant teams.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis for problems and implement lasting fixes.
• Participate in change management activities such as updates, patches, and deployments.
• Track and analyse key performance indicators including capacity, availability, and stability.
• Perform proactive monitoring and alerting of the environments.
• Collaborate with network, security, desktop, and cloud teams.
• Document configurations, standards, and procedures.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience working with virtual environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Experience following ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management.
• Understanding of vulnerability management and security concepts.
• Good grasp of networking fundamentals, especially connectivity and security.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM tool.

Required skills

• PowerShell scripting.
• Citrix administration (required).
• Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) – a plus.
• Virtualization technologies.
