System Administrator – Infrastructure Commander

About the role

We are looking for an Infrastructure Commander to own, optimise and protect the backbone of our digital operations. This remote, high-availability position requires a systems specialist who treats infrastructure as both code and a fortress, ensuring continuous uptime and robust security across our environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain bare-metal hypervisors and highly available storage clusters (Proxmox VE, Ceph).
• Automate provisioning, hardening and scaling of Linux Ubuntu environments using scripting and orchestration tools.
• Monitor server health, application metrics and cluster performance with Nagios/Zabbix, proactively resolving anomalies.
• Lead outage and incident response, troubleshooting hardware, network and routing issues.
• Implement firewall policies, conduct vulnerability scans and manage access controls to satisfy internal and external audits.
• Maintain documentation, user access policies and oversee IT logistics and tooling procurement for a global team.
