Supply Chain Manager

About the role

The Supply Chain Manager leads end‑to‑end supply chain operations for Thornhill Medical, ensuring material availability, optimal inventory levels, shelf‑life management, and on‑time delivery of life‑saving medical products. This role oversees planning, procurement, inspection, warehousing, and global logistics while maintaining compliance with FDA, EU, and ISO 13485 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a supply chain and logistics strategy to increase efficiency and speed of operations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Service, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance to align supply activities with accurate demand forecasts.
• Use historical data and market trends to anticipate demand variations and adjust supply plans.
• Optimize inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing carrying costs.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturing partners to ensure continuous product supply.
• Lead global import and export operations, ensuring full compliance with international trade and customs regulations.
• Design procurement and replenishment strategies that control shelf life and manage expiry‑sensitive materials.
• Maintain integrated schedules for orders, procurement, planning, warehousing, quality review, shipping, and delivery.
• Identify supply chain risks (e.g., disruptions, geopolitical issues, natural disasters) and develop contingency plans.
• Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in end‑to‑end supply chain management, preferably within a regulated medical environment.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, EU and ISO 13485 compliance requirements.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with internal teams and external partners to align supply chain activities.
• Experience managing global import/export operations and navigating customs regulations.
