Student Ambassador – Faculty of Law (part‑time)

About the role

The Faculty of Law’s Admissions Office is hiring five part‑time Student Ambassadors for the 2026‑2027 academic year. Ambassadors represent the law faculty, share their personal experience with prospective and admitted students, and help promote the unique BCL/JD program.

Key responsibilities

• Greet prospective students and answer general questions about the Faculty of Law, programs, student life and living in Montreal.
• Host virtual tours and, when safety guidelines allow, in‑person faculty tours and class visits.
• Participate in webinars, virtual events and in‑person sessions to share the student experience with prospective and admitted candidates, families, guidance counselors and alumni.
• Collaborate with the Communications team on social‑media campaigns across Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
• Assist the Career Development Office in organizing on‑campus events for prospective employers.
• Support additional recruitment activities such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and helping set up and take down signage and equipment for events.

Required profile

• Bilingual (English/French) with strong written and oral communication abilities.
• General knowledge of the Faculty of Law, its programs and student life.
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to engage with students, families and other stakeholders.
• Active involvement in the McGill community through clubs, services, athletics or other activities.
• Facilitation and presentation experience; prior experience with a student‑ambassador or similar program is a strong asset.
