Strategic Sourcing Manager (Food Categories)

About the role

Dexterra Group is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead procurement for its food categories, including protein, produce, and grocery. This role focuses on building strong supplier partnerships and delivering sourcing strategies that support the company’s competitive goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategy roadmaps aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead RFPs, bid analysis, supplier evaluation, and selection processes.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, supplier rationalization, and specification optimization.
• Negotiate and manage Master Service Agreements, including pricing, scope, and contract duration.
• Oversee full contract lifecycle management, ensuring compliance and performance.
• Manage supplier segmentation, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive alignment, scale, and procurement efficiencies.
• Leverage data and analytics to monitor spend, supplier performance, and compliance.
• Conduct supplier risk assessments and support mitigation strategies.
• Design and improve supply‑chain processes, tools, and category programs.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food‑related strategic sourcing or procurement.
