About the role
Use your research and investment skills in a company where you can have an impact. The British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking a Strategic Asset Allocation co‑op student/intern for the Winter 2027 work term (January to April) to provide research and analytics support to advise clients across portfolio construction and economic analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Support the team in developing clients’ asset‑liability management (ALM) studies and investment policy recommendations.
- Support the management of BCI’s product shelf to ensure a client‑focused rationale for each pooled fund.
- Assist with updating long‑term forward‑looking capital market assumptions, economic scenarios and simulations.
- Proactively ensure that BCI exceeds client service expectations.
- Coordinate client meetings and develop supporting materials for successful engagements.
- Produce written materials and presentations on a wide range of investment topics for client meetings and internal staff.
- Complete ad‑hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the team.
