Steel Fabricator – Structural Metal Specialist

About the role

Kay-Son Steel Fabricators Ltd is seeking an experienced Steel Fabricator to join its team in Coquitlam. The role involves working on a variety of structural metal projects in a dynamic, outdoor environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lay out reference points and patterns, assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures.
• Weld or bolt sections together using MIG, TIG, plasma ARC, ARC spot, FCAW and GMAW techniques.
• Set up and operate heavy‑duty metal‑working machines, brakes, presses, cutting torches, drills, grinders, shears and CNC equipment.
• Construct patterns and templates, install fabricated components, and rig, hoist and move materials on‑site.

Required profile

• 3 to less than 5 years of steel fabrication experience.
• College or CEGEP certificate/diploma (1‑2 years) in a related field.
• Ability to work in dangerous, noisy, dusty, hot and outdoor conditions, including heights.
• Valid driver’s licence, willingness to travel and relocate as needed.
