Steamfitter / Pipefitter Apprentice – Dow Path2Zero Project

About the role

Join the Dow Path2Zero project in Fort Saskatchewan as a Steamfitter / Pipefitter Apprentice. You will work on‑site with experienced tradespeople, gaining hands‑on experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of industrial piping systems.

Key responsibilities

• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems that transport water, steam, chemicals or fuel.
• Measure, cut, thread, groove and bend pipes, valves and fittings according to project specifications.
• Use testing equipment to detect leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.

Required profile

• Valid Steamfitter‑Pipefitter Apprentice Card.
• CSTS 2020 certification.
• WHMIS 2015 certification.
• Fall Protection certification (class).
• Confined Space Entry and Rigging certificates.
• Ability to work in extreme weather and lift up to 50 lb.
• Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
• Successful completion of a pre‑access drug and alcohol test.

Required skills

• Pipe layout and assembly.
• Pipe fabrication, maintenance and repair.
• Measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes.
• Leak detection and testing.
• Fitting troubleshooting.
