About the role
This part‑time, work‑study position supports the stage management team at McGill University’s concert venues. The role is ideal for a student interested in gaining hands‑on experience in live‑event production while balancing academic commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the stage management team with technical preparation of venues for concerts and events.
- Move chairs, stands, and stage components according to the event layout.
- Place and connect audio‑visual equipment as directed by senior crew members.
- Maintain a vigilant and approachable presence throughout each performance.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of related experience or relevant coursework.
- Basic knowledge of classical music and ability to work evenings, nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; basic spoken French is an asset.
Required skills
- Familiarity with audio/video equipment and related software.
What we offer
- Hourly wage of $16.85 (AMUSE B) for a flexible part‑time schedule (approximately 2 hours per week).
