Staff Designer, Brand

About the role

This senior individual‑contributor position is responsible for defining and elevating the visual identity of a globally recognized developer‑focused brand. Based in Canada, you will shape brand experiences across web, campaigns, product‑adjacent surfaces, events, and physical materials, ensuring consistency, clarity, and high craft at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the brand’s visual system across all marketing, product‑adjacent, and external touchpoints.
• Lead design and continuous improvement of the company website, including information architecture, layout systems, interaction design, and responsive execution.
• Define and maintain a marketing design system in Figma, covering components, patterns, and tokens.
• Extend the brand into product and AI‑focused experiences through illustration, motion, and visual storytelling.
• Set and uphold high craft standards via reviews, feedback, and mentorship of designers and contractors.
• Partner with marketing leadership to translate strategy into cohesive brand direction and campaigns.
• Design for physical and experiential surfaces such as events, trade shows, print, and merchandise.
• Develop and implement AI‑assisted creative workflows, including asset generation systems and prompt libraries.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in brand, visual, and web design, preferably at staff or principal level within SaaS or developer‑focused products.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end brand systems, large‑scale web design, illustration, and motion work.
• Experience owning or significantly contributing to design systems used by large, distributed teams.
• Solid UX/UI fundamentals with hands‑on experience designing responsive interfaces.
