Staff Accountant / Senior Staff Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated accounting professional to join our Calgary office as a Staff Accountant or Senior Staff Accountant. You will work with a diverse portfolio of business and nonprofit clients, delivering high‑quality financial statements, tax returns and audit services while enjoying a supportive, people‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for businesses and nonprofit organizations.
• Lead and support audit engagements across various industries.
• Communicate clearly with clients, regulators and internal teams.
• Mentor and share knowledge with junior team members.
• Identify and implement improvements to files, processes and projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a public accounting firm.
• Strong analytical mindset and collaborative spirit.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
• Effective time‑management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Caseware, Taxprep or other accounting software is a plus.
• CPA designation or working towards it.
