Sr. System Administrator, Data Centers

About the role

Dialpad is seeking a Senior System Administrator to own and evolve its global data‑center and cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence while partnering with engineering teams across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the administration and lifecycle of the worldwide server fleet.
• Lead automation, observability, and performance‑monitoring initiatives.
• Conduct capacity planning for both physical data‑center space and cloud resources.
• Evaluate, propose, and implement projects such as intrusion detection/prevention, system hardening, and process automation.
• Scout, compare, and select hardware options and colocation facilities in alignment with performance and cost goals.
• Design and execute a cloud expansion strategy across providers and regions.
• Deploy servers at scale globally, ensuring consistent standards and automation from day one.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in data‑center operations and cloud infrastructure management.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset for capacity forecasting and bottleneck mitigation.
