About the role
The Tłıchǫ Government is seeking qualified Tłıchǫ Citizens to serve as Speaker of the Tłıchǫ Assembly. The Speaker presides over Assembly sessions, ensuring orderly conduct and adherence to procedural rules.
Key responsibilities
- Chair all sessions of the Tłıchǫ Assembly and the Annual Gathering.
- Apply the Tłıchǫ Assembly Rules of Order during meetings.
- Maintain decorum and facilitate effective discussion.
- Lead Assembly workshops, caucus meetings, and related gatherings.
Required profile
- Deep knowledge of the Tłıchǫ language, culture, and way of life.
- Must be a Tłıchǫ citizen.
- Fluent in both Tłıchǫ and English.
- Not a current sitting member of the Tłıchǫ Assembly.
