Solution Architect

About the role

Aecon is seeking a Solution Architect to design, own, and govern end‑to‑end technology solutions that enable business outcomes across its infrastructure operations. The role bridges business needs and technical delivery, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards and cloud strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own solution architecture for assigned initiatives from concept through delivery and operational handover.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, delivery teams, and enterprise architecture to set solution direction.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs that meet security, scalability, and governance criteria.
• Guide implementation teams, review designs, and ensure successful adoption of solutions.
• Maintain alignment with Aecon’s cloud strategy and long‑term business value objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering complex technology solutions in a matrixed environment.
• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience working with enterprise architecture frameworks and governance processes.
• Demonstrated track record of collaborating with cross‑functional teams to solve business challenges.
