About the role

Birdseye Solutions is seeking a seasoned Software Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of both internal and customer‑facing software initiatives. The role involves shaping the long‑term technical vision, ensuring alignment across projects, and driving high‑quality, scalable solutions for a fast‑growing security platform.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to design and evolve Java‑based services and applications.
• Contribute to the service‑oriented architecture, maintaining consistency with strategic goals.
• Apply sound design principles such as modularity, reusability, and maintainability.
• Design systems for scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance.
• Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews to enforce best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on Java and backend development.
• Experience with service‑oriented architectures, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to design systems for scale and high availability.
• MSc/MA in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
