Software Engineer – Pricing

About the role

Lyft is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Pricing team within the Marketplace organization. You will help design and build large‑scale, latency‑sensitive systems that determine ride prices, support rider engagement, and balance the needs of riders, drivers, and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Drive high‑impact projects and innovate solutions to improve the user experience.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and partner teams to develop technology that meets business needs.
• Own features from concept through execution and launch.
• Unblock, support, and communicate with internal partners to achieve results.
• Write well‑crafted, well‑tested, readable, and maintainable code.
• Utilize Python, Golang, and AWS to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, on‑call rotations, and knowledge‑sharing activities.

Required profile

• BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong background in object‑oriented programming, preferably in Go or Python.
• Experience building backend distributed systems and handling concurrency.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional partners.
