Software Engineer II – Fraud Management Platform

About the role

Join the Operations & Technology Fraud Products team to develop high‑performance, low‑latency Java solutions for Mastercard’s Decision Management Platform, a core system that processes billions of transactions each month. You will work on innovative features that help combat fraud and validate cardholder identity.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical leads to design and implement low‑latency Java capabilities on the Fraud Platform.
• Participate in a co‑located Agile Scrum team, defining user stories with Product Owners and analysts.
• Develop scalable, secure software and produce design documentation following Mastercard standards.
• Troubleshoot operational incidents and research alternative technical solutions.
• Meet project deadlines while addressing emerging issues and recommending solutions.

Required profile

• High‑energy, detail‑oriented, and proactive with the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication, collaborative and organizational skills.
• Self‑motivated with a willingness to learn and work in a geographically distributed team.
• Familiarity with Agile software development processes.
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment using VI and command‑line tools.
