Social Media Marketing Co‑op (Hybrid)

About the role

Join Staples Canada as a Social Media Marketing Co‑op and support the execution of our social content strategy. Working under the Manager of Social Media, you will help grow our online community, boost engagement, and increase brand awareness across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating social content, including copywriting, basic design, and short‑form video.
• Track performance metrics and compile weekly reports to identify trends and opportunities.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for campaigns, product launches, and seasonal moments.
• Research social trends, competitor activity, and emerging platform features to inform strategy.
• Support influencer and partnership initiatives and ensure brand consistency across all social touchpoints.

Required profile

• 0–1 years of experience in social media, marketing, communications, or related fields (including internships, school projects, or personal content creation).
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of major social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Basic content creation skills: copywriting, photo/video editing, and design.
• Familiarity with social media analytics and performance metrics.
• Experience with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or video editing tools.
• Knowledge of social media management platforms and paid social fundamentals.
