About the role
The City of Woodstock is seeking two entry‑level Skilled Labourers to support its Public Works department at the Environmental Depot. This full‑time, permanent position involves hands‑on work in a municipal setting, assisting the public and ensuring safe handling of bulk items and hazardous waste.
Key responsibilities
- Perform a variety of manual labour tasks at the Bulk Item and Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot.
- Assist, educate, and direct members of the public who bring items to the depot.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with municipal standards.
- Support the Public Works Supervisor with daily operational needs.
Required profile
- Entry‑level candidates with a willingness to learn on the job.
- Ability to perform physical labour safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with the public.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a team‑oriented attitude.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required.
