Site Superintendent

About the role

The Site Superintendent will be based on‑site in Red Deer, AB, overseeing all phases of construction for Nautical Lands Group’s retirement‑community projects. This full‑time position ensures quality, safety, and schedule adherence while collaborating closely with the construction manager and other team members.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily on‑site activities and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
• Manage project schedules, workflows, and documentation to meet timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control throughout each project.
• Collaborate with the construction manager and other stakeholders to resolve issues and keep projects on track.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction site coordination, project management, and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best construction practices.
• Leadership ability to direct and motivate subcontractors and on‑site staff.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Valid safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid) and a valid driver’s licence.
• Diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with construction scheduling software and project documentation tools.
• Experience with modular construction methods (preferred).
