Site Reliability Specialist

About the role

Ubisoft Montréal is looking for a Site Reliability Specialist to join its IT Games and Studios team. In this role you will help ensure the availability, reliability and performance of the critical platforms that support game development across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with service teams to define and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
• Design, implement and document automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and service reliability.
• Support observability practices, including monitoring, logging, alerting and incident management.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives after incidents.
• Optimize deployment workflows and operational processes through infrastructure‑as‑code and automation.
• Maintain and evolve cloud‑based environments and services on AWS or Azure.
• Share knowledge and contribute to reliability‑focused initiatives across development, infrastructure and platform teams.

Required profile

• Experience with infrastructure engineering, automation and DevOps practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non‑technical partners.
• Interest in AI‑assisted engineering tools that enhance development and operational efficiency.

Required skills

• GitLab and GitLab CI/CD for deployment and automation workflows.
• Scripting and programming in Python, Bash and Go.
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Kubernetes (K8s) in public cloud environments (AWS or Microsoft Azure).
• Configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef.
• Observability and monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
