About the role
The Site Manager reports to the Regional Director and is responsible for coordinating all site activities, leading teams, and ensuring smooth operations for purchasing, transportation, and processing of metal materials. The role focuses on performance objectives, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a strong field presence and work closely with employees daily.
- Supervise, coach, motivate the team, conduct performance evaluations and foster collaboration.
- Monitor employee performance, prepare analytical reports and provide coaching.
- Organise efficient truck dispatching and coordinate transportation schedules.
- Manage procurement and supply of ferrous and non‑ferrous materials.
- Plan, direct and oversee daily activities with department supervisors.
- Establish priorities, identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Contribute to financial objectives and control operating costs.
- Prepare management reports and participate in strategic decision‑making.
- Develop a customer‑service‑focused culture and support local customer needs.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve processes.
- Execute local marketing initiatives to increase site visibility.
- Develop, document and update operational policies, procedures and processes.
- Ensure strict compliance with health and safety standards.
Required profile
- Strong presence in the field with daily interaction with staff.
- Proven ability to supervise, coach and motivate teams.
- Experience preparing analytical reports and performance monitoring.
- Capability to organise truck dispatching and transportation schedules.
- Experience managing procurement of ferrous and non‑ferrous materials.
- Ability to plan and direct daily activities alongside supervisors.
- Skill in identifying performance gaps and recommending corrective actions.
- Focus on achieving financial targets and controlling costs.
- Ability to prepare reports for management and contribute to strategic decisions.
- Customer‑service orientation and willingness to support local market needs.
