Site Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Site Engineer to join FCC Canada’s team delivering the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations segment of the Ontario Line in Toronto. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day construction activities, ensuring safety, quality and compliance while supporting the successful delivery of this major transit infrastructure project.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily on‑site construction work to ensure alignment with project plans and specifications.
• Monitor contractors and labourers for safety, quality and efficiency compliance.
• Provide technical advice and resolve engineering or construction issues on site.
• Interpret and apply architectural and engineering drawings accurately.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and verify materials and workmanship meet standards.
• Identify and address defects or deficiencies in the construction process.
• Assist in planning and coordination of construction activities.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience in civil or construction engineering.
• Proven experience working on large‑scale infrastructure or underground projects.
• Strong understanding of construction safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers and stakeholders.
