Site Assistant – Construction (Edmonton)

About the role

Akash Homes is looking for a Site Assistant to join its fast‑growing construction team in Edmonton. This hands‑on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and wants to learn the full lifecycle of residential construction.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe and organized job sites, including waste removal, sweeping, vacuuming and snow clearing.
• Ensure safe site access by building temporary walkways and keeping pathways clear.
• Support quality‑control efforts by preparing homes for inspections and assisting with pre‑possession walkthroughs.
• Perform light framing and finishing tasks such as installing handrails, garage landings and other small construction elements.
• Carry out minor repairs including framing adjustments, drywall touch‑ups, painting, deck stair and railing installation, and deck‑board replacement.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Coordinate daily activities with the Site Superintendent and other trades.
