Site Assistant – Construction (Calgary)

About the role

Akash Homes is looking for a motivated Site Assistant to join its fast‑growing construction team in Calgary. This hands‑on position offers a solid entry point into residential building, allowing you to work outdoors, support the Site Superintendent, and contribute to safe, high‑quality home construction.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain clean, organized job sites – waste removal, sweeping, vacuuming, and snow clearing as needed.
• Ensure safe access by keeping pathways and temporary walkways clear.
• Support quality‑control processes: prepare sites for inspections, identify deficiencies, and assist with inspections.
• Coordinate material deliveries, timelines, and workflow priorities with Site Supervisors and Project Managers.
• Reinforce high standards with trade partners and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule.
• Perform minor repair and finishing tasks such as framing adjustments, drywall touch‑ups, painting, and deck stair/railing installation.

Required profile

• Willingness to work outdoors in a fast‑paced construction environment.
• Strong work ethic with a desire to learn residential construction processes.
• Ability to develop good working relationships with superintendents, trades, and project team members.
• Readiness to take ownership of tasks early in the role.
