Sidewalk Concrete Finisher

About the role

Join Amrize Canada Inc as a Sidewalk Concrete Finisher in Coquitlam, BC. You will work on municipal sidewalks, curbs, and related infrastructure, ensuring high‑quality concrete finishes that meet grade and depth specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement before concrete placement.
• Directly place concrete into forms or onto surfaces, filling hollows and smoothing spots.
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and achieve a uniform surface.
• Level and finish the top surface using hand and power tools to the required grade.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures as needed.
• Apply hardening, sealing, waterproofing, and damp‑proofing agents to cure and protect surfaces.
• Repair, resurface, or replace damaged concrete sections.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of concrete finishing experience in industrial or construction settings.
• Physically demanding work; ability to lift heavy loads, bend, crouch, kneel, and stand for long periods.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to pass criminal‑record and licence checks.
• Team player with strong attention to detail and dependability.
