Shipping Supervisor

About the role

The Shipping Supervisor oversees the receipt and dispatch of goods in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, ensuring customers receive timely, high‑quality service. This role coordinates the shipping and receiving team, manages documentation, and maintains compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all shipments, verifying quantities and compliance with company policies.
• Utilize the ERP system to process incoming and outgoing orders and transfers.
• Create labels, forms, and complete required documentation.
• Provide daily direction to the shipping and receiving team to meet operational objectives.
• Manage receiving, shipping, distribution, and storage of products and supplies.
• Report non‑conforming products to appropriate personnel.
• Assign workload to ensure efficient completion of shipping and receiving tasks.
• Communicate delays or variances in freight promptly.
• Plan and oversee plant logistics, identify quality, productivity, or safety issues, and ensure 5S processes are followed.
• Maintain compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory control, operations, or materials management.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Valid lift‑truck license and ability to operate a lift truck.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle fluctuating demand.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
