Shipping & Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Shipping & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and coordinating with carriers and internal teams. This computer‑focused position supports smooth logistics operations while occasionally assisting in warehouse activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and process parcel and freight shipments using shipping software and carrier portals.
• Prepare, review, and verify shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to schedule shipments and resolve delivery issues.
• Track shipments, proactively address delays or discrepancies, and respond to status inquiries.
• Maintain accurate records in shipping systems and internal tracking tools.
• Support continuous improvement of shipping processes and workflows.
• Assist with general logistics, operational, and occasional warehouse support duties.

Required profile

• Previous experience in shipping coordination, logistics support, customer service, or administrative roles.
• Familiarity with shipping systems, ERP/WMS platforms, or carrier portals is an asset.
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally and work in a warehouse setting when needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience using ERP/WMS platforms.
• Ability to operate shipping software and carrier portals.
• Forklift operation skills (certification preferred).
