Shipping & Receiving Associate

About the role

The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for handling inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining inventory integrity. This position works closely with carriers, production teams, and internal stakeholders to keep material flow efficient and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload, sort, and move shipments using hand methods or material‑handling equipment.
• Verify, count, and enter incoming goods into the ERP system, noting condition and discrepancies.
• Update status of inbound and outbound orders in the ERP system and coordinate with carriers for quotes, shipments, and documentation.
• Pack, weigh, and track shipments while managing shipping supplies and related costs.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for incoming, stored, and outgoing goods and monitor available space.

Required profile

• Excellent written and oral communication in English.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lb and follow health & safety rules.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Familiarity with major courier software (FedEx, Purolator, UPS).
• Forklift and/or reach‑truck operation experience.
