Shipper & Receiver

About the role

Join Holt Renfrew’s Shipping Department as a Shipper & Receiver, handling the flow of merchandise in a fast‑paced, fashion‑focused environment. You will ensure accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Unload merchandise from trucks using safe lifting techniques.
• Operate handcarts, flatbeds, and pump jacks with care.
• Place incoming boxes in designated areas in an orderly fashion.
• Verify received quantities against waybills, invoices, and packing slips.
• Inspect boxes for tampering or damage and report discrepancies.
• Transport deliveries to stockrooms, shipping, and alterations departments.
• Log shortages, damages, or other issues for the manager.
• Prepare shipping paperwork and determine appropriate shipping methods.
• Record inventory movements manually or in computer systems.
• Pack goods, affix labels, and attach shipping instructions.
• Check customer delivery sales bills for fee payment.
• Ensure customs procedures are followed for international shipments.
• Pack and load trucks for outbound shipments.
• Pick up and deliver alterations to the correct departments.
• Collect and deliver supply orders per requisitions.
• Collect, store, and dispose of hangers, cardboard, garbage, and recyclables.
• Comply with health & safety, privacy, and cybersecurity policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• At least 2 years of experience in a shipping/receiving environment.
