Shift Manager – Fast Food Restaurant

About the role

The Shift Manager leads daily operations in a fast‑paced restaurant environment, ensuring food quality, safety, and excellent customer service. This role coordinates staff, manages inventory, and supports the overall profitability of the outlet.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and adjust work schedules to meet demand.
• Supervise and coordinate staff who prepare, portion, and serve food.
• Train employees on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Estimate ingredient and supply needs and place orders.
• Hire, evaluate, and conduct performance reviews for food‑service staff.
• Maintain quality control standards for food and service.
• Prepare budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
• Handle customer complaints, ensure health‑safety compliance, and manage cash balancing.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in restaurant or fast‑food operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle physical demands.
• Dependable, organized, and proactive team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience using point‑of‑sale and electronic cash‑register systems.
• Ability to work with spreadsheets and inventory management tools.
