Sheet Metal Worker

About the role

Join our team as a Sheet Metal Worker, where you will contribute to residential and small commercial construction projects by fabricating, fitting, and installing high‑quality sheet metal components. You will work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment while ensuring compliance with building codes and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Measure, mark and cut sheet metal using templates and metalworking machines.
• Operate punching, drilling, shaping and straightening equipment to fabricate components.
• Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces to finish parts.
• Fit, join and install sheet metal products in residential and small commercial projects, ensuring compliance with building codes.
• Supervise other workers on site and coordinate installation activities.

Required profile

• Physically demanding, fast‑paced environment with attention to detail and hand‑eye coordination.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in noisy, dusty, and potentially dangerous conditions.
• Client‑focused, organized team player.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Measuring, marking and cutting sheet metal.
• Operating metalworking machines (cutting, punching, drilling, shaping).
• Grinding and buffing metal seams.
• Welding using Gas Metal Arc (GMAW/MIG) techniques.
• Fitting, joining and installing sheet metal components.
