Sessional Lecturer – Robotic Perception (CSC478H5F)

About the role

The University of Toronto Mississauga seeks a sessional lecturer to teach CSC478H5F – Robotic Perception for the Fall 2026 term. You will deliver lectures and practical sessions to approximately 60 undergraduate students, guiding them through perception algorithms and real‑world robotics applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver weekly lectures and hands‑on practical labs.
• Prepare tutorials, assignments, tests, marking schemes, and maintain the course website.
• Provide student support through office hours, email, and discussion boards.
• Write and manage TA contracts, supervise teaching assistants, and oversee grading.
• Invigilate the final exam, handle grade submission, and address student petitions.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in robotic perception through research, industry work, or prior teaching.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of perception algorithms for robotics.
• Familiarity with robotics sensors and related toolsets.
