Sessional Lecturer – Intermediate Arabic (ARA312Y5Y)

About the role

The University is seeking a Sessional Lecturer to teach ARA312Y5Y Intermediate Arabic for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The course builds on basic Arabic knowledge and focuses on formal Arabic communication at an intermediate low level.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and deliver lecture content for two weekly 2‑hour classes (Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:00 pm‑7:00 pm).
• Provide out‑of‑class support through email and scheduled office hours.
• Develop, administer, and grade assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Arabic cultural studies, literature, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Arabic cultural studies and experience teaching university‑level Arabic culture courses.
• Native or near‑native fluency in Arabic.
