Sessional Lecturer – Financial Distress & Insolvency

About the role

The Department of Management at the University of Toronto Mississauga seeks a qualified Sessional Lecturer to teach the Fall 2026 course MGT442H5: Financial Distress & Insolvency. The appointment runs from September 1 to December 31, 2026 and includes a stipend inclusive of vacation pay.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, lead discussions, and facilitate learning for undergraduate students enrolled in the course.
• Prepare and grade assignments, exams, and case studies related to financial distress and insolvency.
• Provide a minimum of 0.75 hours of teaching assistant support per enrolled student.
• Maintain academic integrity and adhere to the university’s collective agreement policies.

Required profile

• Advanced academic qualifications in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Demonstrated teaching excellence or prior lecturing experience.
• Eligibility under CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement (non‑student status).
