Sessional Lecturer – Arab Culture I

About the role
The Department of First‑Year Seminars seeks a qualified sessional lecturer to teach Arab Culture I (ARA210H5F) during the Fall term. The course provides an introductory overview of Arab cultural realities, values, and religious practices, delivered in English.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver weekly lectures and discussion sessions on Arab culture.
- Prepare and grade assignments, tests, and exams, and calculate final grades.
- Maintain regular communication with students via email and office hours.
- Order required readings and manage course materials.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Arabic cultural studies, literature, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in Arabic cultural studies and prior university‑level teaching experience.
- Native or near‑native fluency in Arabic.
