About the role
The University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus is seeking a Sessional Kitchen Attendant to support its Food Services operations. Working under the Food Services Manager, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Clean the kitchen and storerooms on a daily basis.
- Wash dishes and manage waste disposal.
- Assist with food safety and storage practices.
- Train new Kitchen Attendants as needed.
- Perform other duties as required by the Food Services team.
Required profile
- Grade 10 or equivalent.
- Food Safe Level 1 Certificate.
- At least one year of related experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs and stand for 8+ hours.
- Willingness to respect diverse perspectives and promote equity, diversity, and inclusion.
