About the role
The Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary seeks a sessional instructor to teach the graduate course EDER 689.88 Leading for Transformation during the Winter 2027 term (January 4 – April 27, 2027). The instructor will deliver the course primarily online while also supporting on‑campus activities as needed.
Key responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and assess online and on‑campus graduate lectures, discussions, and assignments.
- Facilitate student learning about transformation, accountability, professional growth, and innovation in educational settings.
- Provide timely feedback and support to graduate students.
- Collaborate with faculty and program staff to align the course with the Graduate Programs in Education curriculum.
Required profile
- A completed doctorate (PhD or EdD) in education or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated success in teaching at the university level or in professional/leadership development contexts.
- Experience with online or distance education delivery.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative academic environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency in online teaching platforms and learning management systems.
