About the role
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the Service Representative supports admissions, registration and student accounts functions at McGill University, providing information and processing applications for prospective and current students.
Key responsibilities
- Provide detailed information on university programs, policies, admission, registration and student account procedures.
- Process admission applications, registrations, transcript requests, placement test documents and fee payments.
- Maintain and update student records, ensuring accuracy, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues.
- Prepare acknowledgement, decision, ID and health cards, and assist with form completion.
Required profile
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy in handling information.
- Customer‑focused, able to communicate tactfully with students and staff.
- Organized, capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and working under pressure.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, advanced Excel and Outlook.
- Experience using Banner (SIS and FIS) and Minerva systems.
- Knowledge of Adobe Professional.
- Strong English written and spoken skills; French spoken ability.
