Service Advisor – Automotive Service Department

About the role

We are seeking a Service Advisor to join the Service department at OpenRoad Toyota Port Moody. The advisor will be the primary point of contact for customers, creating accurate repair orders and ensuring a smooth service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer inquiries, listen to vehicle concerns and write detailed repair orders.
• Obtain customer signatures and vehicle data, process paperwork as jobs are completed.
• Review repairs and changes with customers upon vehicle delivery.
• Schedule service appointments, monitor work‑in‑progress and communicate any delays.
• Suggest additional repairs, estimate costs and completion times, and verify warranty coverage.
• Resolve customer complaints and implement preventative measures.
• Perform walk‑around inspections, arrange alternate transportation and manage loaner vehicles.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of automotive equipment.
• Ability to speak Mandarin (asset).
• Understanding of customer satisfaction and retention techniques.
• Proficiency with a computerized equipment maintenance system.
• Strong cooperative skills across all organizational levels.
• Effective communication and decision‑making abilities.
• Valid British Columbia driver’s licence with a clean record.
